the best rafting trip in the Sarapiqui River. It is done between
two little communities La Virgen and Chilamate. It is a very safe
section for it is formed by continuous rapids of crystal clear
still water pools. On this trip you can enjoy of four rapids class
II and twenty class III, all of them of a good technical
level.
The Sarapiqui River characterizes by its crystal clear
non polluted waters, this allows the tourists to enjoy a landscape
full of natural life which they discover thanks to the assistance
of our naturalist guides. In the middle of the way, a stop will be
made in one of the river sides, a still water area where tourists
will be able to swim and taste the delicious tropical fruits of
the season.

Pozo Azul

Description: It is used for rafting through 35 Kilometers, with all the range
of difficulty in three different sections. Hacienda Pozo Azul is
located right at the put in of class III with the river flowing
for 2 miles right through the middle of the Hacienda.
The three
sections run from 1200 ft of altitude and a flow volume of around
1,300 ft3/second with difficulty of class IV and V to a final
altitude of 100 ft and a flow rate of 5,000 ft3/second and
difficulty of class I…
