Canopy Safari
Located: in Paso Real,
Manuel Antonio, Puntarenas.
Duration: 5
hours.
Description: Our tour begins with an amazing drive through the rainforest out
to our canopy site. During the ride there are many stops for
everyone to learn about the flora and fauna of the area. Our local
bilingual guides have a vast knowledge of the area and love to
share the many secrets that the rainforest holds with our
clients. The canopy site is located approximately
forty-five minutes from Manuel Antonio, in an area called Paso
Real. Here we have a brand new ranch house with full
facilities, located next to a pristine river, this is where we
serve a full breakfast or lunch (depending on tour time). A
spectacular river is the backdrop for these platforms carefully
built in the canopy of the rainforest. Clients are able to
traverse from tree to tree and platform to platform using pulleys
on horizontal traverse cables, as they sail through the treetops
of the tropical rainforest canopy, and over the trails far below.
Our canopy course consists of 21
platforms, 9 “zip lines”, and 2 rappel lines, one
suspension bridge and a " Tarzan wing

Waterfalls Canopy Tour
Located: 10km.
from Carara Biological Reserve, Jacó, Puntarenas.
Duration: 2
hours.
Description: Our tour is the most thrilling and safe adventure tour you will do
in Costa Rica! Our Canopy Tour consists of 13 platforms, 7 cables
of different sizes, 3 storeys Tree House, Tarzan Swing, a
suspension bridge and a 90 feet rappel at the end. The tour starts
with putting on your harness; these are professional mountain
climbing harnesses. Then we do a short walk in, I will explain you
about the area you are in, and the flora and fauna you will
encounter on the trails. Since a part of the forest has been used
for agro forestry, a wide variety of exotic fruit trees and
hardwood trees can be found. We take to the trees near the
waterfalls; here you find the first platform with a short slide.
From there you will glide with the help of professional climbing
gear on a pulley to the first tree (an enormous Ceiba tree with a
diameter of 30 feet!). At all times you
are under the constant care of our guides! You will be taking
cables from treetop to treetop in this jungle until you get to the
Tree house; Jane and Tarzan's place! This is the highest point of
the Canopy Tour; you'll be 100 feet over ground level… Here
you can hang out for a while to enjoy the scenery. The tree house
offers a great opportunity to do some bird watching. Go on and try
to spot some of the colorful birds present! More cables will
follow until you reach a suspension bridge and the Tarzan Swing!
Let's do a yelling contest! The Tarzan Swing is followed by our
longest cable for the truly adventurous (optional cable)! At the
end we will rappel you down (belay, this is a professional
lowering technique) to the forest floor.
